The road from Lolo Pass to Kooskia and the Nez Perce Reservation is one of our best memories from a recent trip to Idaho and Montana. The beautiful Lochsa river along which the road runs and the pines and cedars on all sides recall the...More

The posted speed is 50 mph, but the signs posting that limit are few and far between. The four of us in our car didn't remember seeing any in the first 20-30 miles traveling West from Lolo Pass. And after I was ticketed, we drove...More

First, always gas up when you can. Minimal traffic the day I rode. Roadway in good condition, scenery is great with adequate pull offs for pictures.

One of those days where there was no traffic - rode the speed limit the entire route and saw scenery and nothing else. At lunch at Lochsa Inn - OMG so good - a must see.

We took a 2 week trip to Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Idaho via motorcycles. This was the most amazing road we were on. Such beautiful scenery! Nice sweeping curves and the pavement was smooth. Definitely want to ride it again and again!

Without a doubt this is one of the most beautiful drives I've taken. We started at Lolo, MT and finished up in Kamiah, ID. My husband loves to fish so we stopped many times for him to do so while I sat in the sun...More

Beautiful drive, trees and rivers, streams. October and after, through May, be cautious of road conditions. They can change in a matter of hours.... The drive is very picturesque.....
