We made the 2-hour drive around the perimeter of the park. Saw elk, deer, hawks, bighorn sheep, grouse, antelope and lots of bison. Hoping for bears but no luck today. Binoculars helpful as there are huge, wide open vistas and the animals may be far...More

Driving by it was impressive to see so many bison doing what bison do--grazing. Many had calves. They were on the hills, near the highway behind a sturdy fence. Stop and take some pictures. I wish I had.

We wish we would have known that, so I thought I'd put it in caps for anyone interested. We were super stoked to see everything, but not allowed in the park. Thinking back on it, I understand. Just wanting you to know.

The range is right outside of Missoula. We spent a few hours there one morning on our way north. Lots of wildlife viewings, not too many other people. Got some good photos! Would've spent more time if we'd had it. There were byways we just...More

We started at about 9 and ended around noon on a rainy day and saw almost every animal they said we were able to see. We did the big loop and were afraid the rain would dampen the chance to see animals but did not. I think... More
