A slice of authentic Montana. Hidden away in the foothills, it is rustic and charming. Natural hot spring provides the best soak ever. Nothing can top the dining cuisine of this place which includes the best duck I have ever eaten and a strange flaming desert created inside the peel of an orange. Unique and peaceful place to spend an... More

The easy access to the bar (ring a bell for window service from the outside to the bar) is great. The bigger pool feels like the temperature of a regular heated pool, but is better than a regular pool because it is composed of minerals from the hot spring. The warmer pool isn't scorching, though you definitely appreciate the warmer... More

The lodge is old, many rooms have shared baths, reasonable prices for the area- hot springs pools are old but seemed clean and were delightful! Had breakfast in the restaurant- excellent Apple pancakes! Had dinner in the saloon- we are veggie pizza experts and this was hands down the best ever.

There are so many outdoor activities to do in Chico. Whether you want to enjoy a dip in the hot spring heated pool, take a horseback ride, go fly fishing, take a hike, or shoot some clays, there is a lot to do. However, because this was a work trip I did not book my activities before arrival and missed... More

I drove from Big Sky, ID and passed Bozeman, Livingston for my Yellowstone trip at the North entrance. Aim for the hot spring pool. The water and the mountain background are amazing but using the pool isn't pleasurable. I have to ask the lady bartender several times to get in the pool. And she seems unhappy at the moment maybe... Our stay was much too short but thoroughly enjoyable. Arrived Sunday evening to meet friends and relatives. We had a 1-bedroom suite in the lower lodge room 410 (the newest facility) so hosted everyone for wine, beer and snacks at our outdoor table alcove off the front walkway. Our suite was spacious with sitting room/kitchen area, large bathroom with many... More

I hate to say it but Chico Hot Springs fell short. The water was luke warm and DIRTY! Lots of people in pool and had to wonder if they ever cleaned it or just how sanitized the water was. I wouldn't expect chemical cleaners but I also wouldn't expect the water to be hot enough to kill germs. We couldn't... More

I took the 1 hour horseback ride & it was awesome. Christy was my wrangler and she was great. The horse she picked for me was name Blade & he was a sweetheart. The ride was perfect. I have only rode a few times but this was the best. Christy was so informative about the land & the horses. She... More

We did the half day (3 hours) horse back ride through the mountains and trails. Our guides were very nice. 3 out of the 4 of us were inexperienced riders, and the horses were very gentle. The view from the top of our ride was gorgeous! The three hours were enough for us, but I know some people prefer to... More
