Visited in May...pre season...with still occasional snowing and flurries...very nice to watch the river flow across the park and follow the trail

Water color not as green or clear as it will be later, but the huge amounts of water make spectacular rapids and falls.

Wow the entire park blew me away. Everything is breathtaking and the animals you see spectacular. The Yellowstone River and Lake is unbelievable. It's strange being on an active volcano. So, glad we finally made the trip.

Can not recommend the hike along the grand canyon of the Yellowstone more highly. Easy walk to some great overlooks. You can go as long as you like, the trail will get a little tougher.

Yellowstone NP is very large, but if you have limited time, the section of the Yellowstone River they call the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is definitely worth visiting. The views and photo ops were great and there are many vantage points from which to take...More

Yellowstone National Park is AWESOME! So much to see and do and so little time. Saw several buffalo herds, antelope, and a grizzly bear coming down a hill when we first entered the park. Old Faithful geyser erupted right on time and in spectacular fashion....More

Artist's Point offers great views of the lower falls and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone river, with only a very short walk.

This was one of those experiences in life that tests you. We hadn't yet been to this part of the park and decided to commit to every trail. The hike was really hard but the view was incredible and the sense of accomplishment made it...More

Highly recommend viewing and traveling the Yellowstone river from an array of places. Got to see a plethora of wildlife the river supports.

Great to travel along the rivers in Yellowstone park, in May most were very fast moving and some had unusual springs feeding into the river, which gave some unusual markings on the rocks and strange steam spouts or pools of mud.

There are several rafting companies along the Snake River. Frankly I can't recall the name of the one we took, but all seemed to be pretty similar as we passed them along the way. Bundle up though it's pretty chilly out on... More
