Whitefish Mountain Resort, in northwest Montana, is noted for its laid-back vibe, world-class skiing, and unbeatable value. The resort sees an average of 300 inches of snow on its 3,000 acres, and is as well known for a pleasant lack of lift lines as for its consistently good snow conditions. When the snow melts, Whitefish Mountain Resort becomes home to thrilling zip lines and an alpine slide, world-class downhill and cross-country mountain biking, and the unique Walk in the Treetops, in addition to spectacular hiking, water sports, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, Glacier National Park, and more available in the greater Whitefish area. It is the perfect base camp for a summer visit to Montana’s majestic Flathead Valley.

This resort looks fabulous for winter sports, but we were there visiting Glacier National Park in the summer. We were disappointed in our views of Glacier National Park, due to the extensive wildfires, but did we ever enjoy our day on Whitefish Mountain. First of...More

Montana is bear country, so I was afraid to hike into the deep forest. My husband found this trail high in the mountains with snow on top where the bears and snakes were hibernating. The mountains were so beautiful.

If you read my other reviews...this one will be short for sure. This zip line was stunning, beautiful, fast velocity, long in time/length, and terrific. Do the mile plus total length zip! Do it, now! It is so worth the money and will ruin you...More

Drove to the resort to check it out. Beautiful place. We could see it from our rental house and wanted to take a closer look. We did go into the lodge hoping for breakfast but they only had a continental breakfast for the quest. Season...More

The summer is typically pretty slow on the mountain, but here are tons of things to do. We had burgers at the summit enjoying the view of flathead valley. Then we took the kids on a hike where we picked huckleberries. Then at the end,...More

We went here in August and it was 90 the day we came. By the time we got to the top it was 68. The tram is terrifying, but had "Gondola Cars," and may not have been bad. We enjoyed our time there and the...More

We stayed here and did the alpine, ropes course and chairlift. We had so much fun. Ropes course was especially challenging. Would have loved to zipline but one of the kids didn't weigh enough. Next time!!

My family took the summer gondola ride to the top of the mountain. From here you get a beautiful view of Whitefish and Whitefish Lake. Grab a drink at the bar and sit out on the deck. When done, we hiked down the Danny On...More

I don't think so either, but the lift tickets are significantly lower than Whistler or Vail.

Yes! We operate a scenic lift with access to the summit of Big Mountain during the summer. Typically late June through August every day, then weekends only in September. The scenic lift provides views of Glacier National... More
