Whitefish Mountain Resort, in northwest Montana, is noted for its laid-back vibe, world-class skiing, and unbeatable value. The resort sees an average of 300 inches of snow on its 3,000 acres, and is as well known for a pleasant lack of lift lines as for its consistently good snow conditions. When the snow melts, Whitefish Mountain Resort becomes home to thrilling zip lines and an alpine slide, world-class downhill and cross-country mountain biking, and the unique Walk in the Treetops, in addition to spectacular hiking, water sports, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, Glacier National Park, and more available in the greater Whitefish area. It is the perfect base camp for a summer visit to Montana’s majestic Flathead Valley.

Great place to stay, boat, drinks and meals...with a great view. It is a must see and stay. Close to downtown Whitefish and Whitefish Mountain for skiing in the winter and hiking and riding the ski lift to the summit in the summer.

We spent part of a day at the resort during the summer season, when there was no snow but fantastic views from the top of the mountain. Because it was summer there was not a lot of activity but it was a very pleasant afternoon.

So many good things about the resort but if you plan to eat there, think twice. Disappointing fare with below average taste, presentation and customer service

We had fun riding the chair lift to the top. Beautiful day, great views and I was almost inspired to ride a mountain bike back down the slopes. Almost. Bar and gift shop at summit was disappointing. Could have used a hot chocolate. Horse flies...More

Do you need to *really* get away from it all? Are the ski resorts just a couple hours from the big city, fighting the traffic jams just not doing it for you anymore? Do you need a big mountain far away (but not as far...More

I don't think so either, but the lift tickets are significantly lower than Whistler or Vail.

Yes! We operate a scenic lift with access to the summit of Big Mountain during the summer. Typically late June through August every day, then weekends only in September. The scenic lift provides views of Glacier National... More
