Having a building by a giant in American architecture in town never hurts, but sadly it seems like Whitefish is letting their Frank Lloyd Wright building go. Perhaps a miracle will occur, and it could be saved and re-opened as a coffee shop elsewhere. But...More

We walked by this building, by chance, on a Saturday afternoon and thought that it was a poor attempt to replicate a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building. Then I read that it was actually designed as a medical clinic by Wright in 1958. But he died...More

You can see some of the elements of Frank Lloyd Wright's genius in this building. But it remains a simple building without any significant allure other than that it is the only Wright building in Montana.

If you have seen other Frank Lloyd Wright buildings then surely you will be disappointed by this one. However, I am glad I took the time to see it and can say that I was there. This building was originally built to be the Lockridge...More

We walked by the house (no business) on a Sunday, so it was closed. But this is a near piece of FLW history in downtown Whitefish! :)
