Drove over to Hastings, NE to be with family. Was taken to Stuhr Museum. It was the best experience of all time. I make it a point to go there every summer!

We hadn't planned to stop at a museum in Grand Island. When we saw the signs for this one, we imagined an older 5-room home with a few antiques, but we were getting road - weary and a stop sounded good. The Stuhr (pronounce it...More

I have always loved this museum and grounds. The museum has a fascinating story about an African American physician who practiced in the area for many years (I do not recall this exhibit being present years' past). Great collection of artifcats and well-displayed. The Routunda...More

I recently attended a meeting at the main building. It is very beautiful and well maintained. Not a huge meeting room but for less than 35 people works perfectly.

The Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer has an excellent exhibit of artifacts from the days pioneers first crossed the prairie, but the Tom Mangelson photos were the star. Fabulous!
