My husband,I and twelve other people toured the Aquarium this afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the stuffed animals and birds, and many live fish, turtles and frogs in the main building. Admission was Free! None of us had ever been to this facility before. We spent a leisure hour there. A great place to take children on a field trip.

The 3 day joint summer meeting of the American Fisheries Society Centrarchid Technical Committee, Esocid Technical Committee, and the Walleye Technical Committee, and the Upper Colorado River Endangered Fish Recovery Program was held here. Tony Korth, the Aquarium Director, treated us very well.

Trying to think of somewhere to interest the kids and get a little exercise? Try the Aquarium and walking paths in the forests of Schramm State Park. Many live species of Nebraska fish as well as amphibians are on display in the Aquarium and the walking trails will unveil lots of forrest critters and are sure to be a hit... More

A very nice little aquarium. It had good tanks but the water quality in some was lower than it should be. It has a great birding area and lots of hands on stuff for kids. If you're in the area it's worth a stop.

We have been here a couple of times and each time has been well worth the visit. Free admission, and interesting exhibits of freshwater fish found in Nebraska. Also, frogs, snakes, birds, and nature trails. One time we visited and they had a video camera trained on a nest outside so people could watch eggs hatching. I highly recommend stopping... More

Lots of hands on things for the kids to do, and a quick tour of the tanks will please them, but it's not a huge space (and the tanks are small for the size fish / turtles that are there). It was nice to visit once, but this 1950s or 60s era building needs an update -- but that means... More

We stopped by looking for something to do on a cold, rainy day. It was good this place was free. We spent maybe 20 minutes here.

Stop and see the aquarium because it is FREE, has a great park area and the fish are fun to watch. Stop and see it.

Nothing fancy just basic aquariums with fish native to our state. Kids love looking at fish. There are a few activities and a movie to watch. We saw a turkey outside the door and walked over to the pond in the park to feed the fish and ducks.

What a hidden gem! For the price of a one day state park pass, you can hike thru a beautiful wooded area, cross a suspension bridge, see a fish hatchery and enjoy a small but amazing aquarium which is housing a 76 lb catfish!!!!
