What a wonderful, very well done museum! Huge! Plan several hours if you really want to see everything. The displays are so well done and informative. Outstanding exhibits and storyboards. Textiles, furniture, toys, cars, etc. Amazing!

While traveling Highway 183, on our way home from our Vacation this past summer, we "stumbled across" The Nebraska Prairie Museum. It's right there "on the Prairie," in a quaint little town called Holdrege. If you are ever out Highway 183, you should stop there-you...More

This was not what we were expecting. $5 requested donation. Place didn’t feel very clean. Kinda a flea-market feel. They had a nice military section, though.

It is set up in a great way with a variety of areas for rural life and also a huge collection of mounts from hunting around the world. The WWII collection is outstanding.

We were impressed the moment we approached this museum. The grounds are lovely.... well landscaped. The buildings look freshly painted and/or new. We continued to be amazed as we explored the displays inside the large buildings. Everything was clean and tastefully displayed. One section is...More
