This place needs a good renovation. Am Italian would say “Sta cadendo a pezzi”. Nothing special though.

We almost didn't make it to this magical place, but so glad we did make it. What a lovely place. Beautiful views, the beach is just amazing. Scenery is like a straight out of a post card. We had lunch on a top deck of a restaurant overlooking this place and the was incredible. If I get another opportunity, will plan on staying a full week there.

It is said that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and when looking at this "Ancient Bathhouse" some see it as tacky. It does, however, date from 1913 and in my view is a masterpiece of the era. Old photos show it as actually being on dry land and an old lady told me that it used to be on the beach itself.

Of course, the beach around it could be just about anywhere, but by Italian standards it is unspoilt - they do have a liking for the stile with lots of rented sun loungers and beach umbrellas, which are not to everyone's taste, but that style hasn't yet aught up with Mondello.

Great beach resort, enabling swims in the most spectacular calm, blue waters of the Mediterranean without any worries. One could not know what to admire most- the scenery dominated by the Pelegrino Mountain, the Art Deco of the nearby building of the hotel, or the endless blue of the sea. Best enjoyed out of high season.

This could have easily been any British beach with a tacky pavilion and rows of quintessentially British beach huts all bursting with people and almost standing room only. It was a Saturday but it was quite an assault on the senses and quite unexpected. If you like all things kitsch then this would be right up your alley!

It can not go unnoticed. The note from every point of the long sea. Ceremony place a little dated. Admirable construction on water with underpass. Leavened prices.

Was able to rent a sun lounger for a reasonable €15 for the entire day and there are hot showers and changing room facilities available. As I was by myself it was great that staff patrol the beach so you feel safe leaving your bags if you want to grab a coffee or go to the bathroom. The water was nice enough for being so close to a big city but the view of the mountains is what is really special. Very busy at the weekend but was still able to get a space. If coming from Palermo city there is a sightseeing bus that takes you to mondello (5€ return ticket) and drops you really close to A.S - the latest bus going back to Palermo is at 6pm. Really nice staff - would go back here if at mondello again!

We went to the restaurant one evening, it has great food and and a live pianist. You sit outside in the terrace and have uninterrupted views of the sea, it's wonderful.
