8 Day Adventure Tour in Costa Rica

1 review
8 days and 7 nights all included
This is the most epic adventure and wildlife tour in Costa Rica. Through this journey you will discover the jungles of Osa peninsula and find the animals of Corcovado national park. Likewise you will walk through canyons of rivers, find hidden waterfalls and navigate through rivers full of wildlife. You will even, visit an island in the pacific ocean where dolphins and whales jump out on the surface to celebrate life. Furthermore, you will jump inside those waters and discover an underwater realm full colors, fishes, turtles and rays.
At some point of the journey you will share with indigenous and locals. Later on, you will be climbing mountains and walk beyond the clouds in the search of the land of the roaring jaguar. Then your guide will make the way with machetes until you find a point where you can see the pacific and atlantic ocean at once.

We stayed in Giancarlo's single cabin for one night. Spacious and nicely designed kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The patio opens to mountain scenery and is a oasis of fresh air and serenity. We had a tour of his farm; berry and fruit trees and his happy chickens. Close to Cachi Lake and Orosi valley. One of our favourites on our holiday. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

Highlight: Sitting on a rocking chair (or the bench) while sipping morning coffee on the spacious and completely private patio, while watching the birds. Pros: The bungalow is separate from the working farm and has all the kitchen items you’ll need. Giancarlo is a warm and affable host and speaks English very well. His property, from the bungalow to the farm, is meticulously maintained. He gave us an Orosi Valley area map and went over all the places to see and things to do. He also offered to show us around the farm, which we recommend doing. You learn about organic farming and will appreciate even more the lengths Giancarlo goes to, to ensure his chickens are well cared for and his carbon footprint is low. Cons: None.

We stayed in the accomodation, a mainly wooden cabin located on the farm for a couple of nights. Unfortunately the weather was wet during our stay so we didn't get the opportunity to admire the surrounding mountains but it is in a lovely location. At the front of the cabin there is a covered porch area with outdoor seating, where it is possible to observe lots of birds. The cabin comprises a small open plan kitchen and dining area equipped with a hob, separate oven/grill, fridge and is fully equipped to make meals if required. There is a dining table and two rocking chairs. A large jar of filter coffee and a percolator is supplied as well as tea plus a kettle. There is a bathroom with bath and shower. There are two bedrooms, one a double room and the other a single. The accomodation is fitted out with quality materials. There is wifi available. The owner Giancarlo is a lovely man, Very keen to please and he even brought us a large bunch of organic bananas from his farm on our second day. There is plenty of space in the cabin and despite the weather we enjoyed our stay. There is a small mini market within walking distance that supplies basic provisions, plus a good take way pizza shop and a small restaurant. The pizza place we can highly recommend. It is a very good base for touring the area. We didn’t have a car and although bus use does allow some exploration, a car for this area would be a benefit.

They have a nice bungalow available for rent. Clean, new, high quality and fully equiped. 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom a kitchinette and a dining table. Complete privacy and remote; you wake up at 5am to the sound of hundreds of birds singing around the garden. There's a supermarket close-by for supplies. Highly recommended for a weekend away from the city noise and air pollution (family and/or couples).
