2+ mile trail around Spooner Lake, easy and accessible for all. Views are nice, trees abound. Family or anybody spot to get used to altitude if you are sea level like me.

In Summer there are nice hikes or walks around the Spooner Lake. Birds are active, watch for the Ospreys and occasional Bald Eagle.

We thoroughly enjoyed hiking the trails. Guess biking is still an option there even though the cross country ski area is closed. We encounter a couple of other hikers in the area....nice and quiet.

We need snow for this activity to work, but when we get some it's so fun to ski around spooner lake. The park is beautiful and you can hike through beautiful forests.

The short 2 mile hike around the lake is beautiful. Down by the lake is rocks that the Indians actually had used to make things, you can see where they did the grinding. Very interesting. You could actually picture them living there. So so beatiful.

Try cross country skiing out here. My 5 and 7 year olds did well. The staff at Spooner Lake was extremely friendly and helpful. Also, compared to the holiday price gouging at the downhill ski resorts, this is very affordable for the whole family. The...More

A friend and I rented bikes here to ride the Flume Trail around Lake Tahoe and had a blast. The bikes were excellent quality, well-maintained and very reasonable. The shuttle service is a bargain ($5) with bike rental. The people were helpful, friendly and well-organized....More
