We were traveling via motorhome from Virginia to Napa, CA and decided to take a "short-cut" from I-15 over to I-80 on route 50 stopping at a campground at the entrance to town. Ok, it was plain, but it was level and had decent hookups, and the folks were friendly so we stopped. We went into town, and found the... More

Great place, for a quick visit. Try to make an appointment, or ask at the Museum, just across the street. We did, and, although the floor was just repainted, we had a nice experience. The museum was also nice, providing a glimpse at the old west... Just a little down the street, visit the local super market, great experience for... More

This is a beautiful building inside and out. Not an opera person but I could listen to any kind of music in this building. So cool to think of all the people who have enjoyed this cite and will continue to do so.

The Opera House holds a special place in the history of Eureka and central Nevada. There are many of the original fixtures and the building is in great shape, restored and maintained for the ages. Interior and exterior views are stunning and I highly suggest you make this a required stop as you travel along Hwy. 50.

It is a great historical cite to visit and step back in time. It has been restored to its former glory. If you are able to, take a look back stage to see old signatures from former performers. You might be surprised to see some you recognize.

After 175 miles of The loneliest Highway in America Eureka provided a welcome stop. We toured the Opera House. Its still in use for events or conventions. It was restored in the 1990's to its present condition. You can go up in balcony, out on the deck over looking Main Street, but the decking is a little creeky and uneven,... More

It's nice to see this old place kept alive. The 1924 curtain on stage still hangs. The building is very evocative of an earlier time when a visiting theater troupe was a major event in a small mining town. Some events still occur here, keeping it relevant for the 21st century. It would be cool to see a list of... More

We were just looking around Eureka and thought to visit the Opera House and were pleased that we did. It looked as though it had been recently been refurbished but hadn't lost any of its character. Actually for a small town Eureka turned out to be a nice place to stay for a night.

Not a lot to see in this town. We were looking forward to going in the Opera a House based on what we had read and heard. The architecture is neat......we were disappointed that the place was closed. Would have loved a peek and to hear stories about the place...l

If you are a history buff, it's worth a visit. Not a lot to see in this old town unless you enjoy such places.
