A really great museum of history about Genoa. Lots of artifacts and excellent descriptions of life back in the day. Two floors and well worth the price of admission.

If you're visiting Genoa, you absolutely should stop in! Genoa is of course the oldest settlement in Nevada, but it is a small town and what a treasure for it to have such an extensive museum! My favorite part is the recreated courtroom upstairs.

Great taste of Local history from the early 1900's. Like taking a walk back in time to the outlaw days when horses and buggies were the mood of transportation. Nice tour guide and friendly staff. Small fee

Wonderful collection from the Gold Rush days. The volunteer that day was very knowledgable. If you like history its a must visit! Genoa was the 1st settlement in Nevada, small but worth seeing.

If you are in Genoa, don't miss this museum located in historic courthouse. Earnest and enthusiastic docent. Beautiful Washoe baskets. Original courthouse and jail and reconstructed school room would make it interesting for kids. Great place to spend an hour.
