We enjoyed this park immensely. Cost is $7 for the day. Walked 3 plus miles on well planned trails! Easy walking & a lot to see. Went at about 10 in the morning. Cool weather so comfortable walking . Visited the main ranch house & had a great tour guide through the house. The guide was very well informed on... More

I absolutely love this state park. It's so peaceful, and the scenery is out of this world. There a few hiking trails and also a few cows!! I just love spending the afternoon here with a picnic.

The lady working the gate taking payments started the whole experience off on the wrong foot. She was moody and looked like she did not want to be there. She didn't even warn us that any trails close 1 hour before the park does. We got there at 3PM which meant a half hour later all the trail gates are... More

The ranch is just outside the city on Red Rock Canyon Rd. (NV159) but it's a great change of pace from the urban rat race. It's only 2-3 miles south of Red Rock Canyon, and we visited them both in the same day. Spring Mountain Park preserves the historic Sandstone Ranch property (established 1876). Before being purchased by Nevada State... More

This park caught my eye as it was away from the strip, and had some historical value to it. Here you will find the ranch house and land along with exhibits describing the history of its owners. From white settlers and their Native American spouse, to movie stars and millionaires. You can get a short guided tour of the rooms... More

I was very disappointed that it costs the same amount to go here as it does Valley of Fire State Park and there is very little to do. There is a short walk, a house that was closed even though the sign said open until we tried to open the door, it was locked so we walked around the back... More

What a lovely surprise. The scenery is spectacular! Even on a cloudy day. We had a funny male guide who showed us around the house and shared a few interesting stories. The tile work in the bathrooms was pretty amazing. Original wallpaper in a hallway. Nice hiking trails, we took one that was flat around the lake. A blacksmith had set... More

The Spring Mountain Ranch is tucked into the State Park off the Red Rock Canyon loop-- beautiful spot with interesting history. The park ranger was cooking his turkey for later in the day & the delicious smells of Thanksgiving dinner filled the ranch house. Wish we had more time to explore the trails around the ranch. Worth the price of... More

Great place to get out of the city for a hike. Much less crowded then red rock but just a few minutes away. There are a variety of hikes available some of which are easy and flat (around the lake) and others are more strenuous (up the canyon). There are also events here such as outdoor yoga and nature walks.... More

We saw it on the Red Rock Canyon when we visited someone from Wisconsin! What a wonderful experience! The grass IS greener! What a place to visit! Our tour guide was superb! ( She has been on in 13 years!) What a wonderful scenery! Even saw the Vera Krup diamond that was stolen and then recovered! Saw the Howard Hughes... More
