This is a bit more of a real hike and we love that! We like a bit of a challenge, it makes it so much more fun! This is not one we would be able to bring our small dogs to though, and may not...More

We did this hike in May with appx. 76 °F and it was almost too hot. Getting down is pretty easy, but you must be aware that it includes some climbing with ropes and you partially walk in the water. After 25 mins. you reach...More

I really don't understand why people can't hike without leaving trash behind. Other than that, this is a nice hike. A few challenges, but nothing too hard. Would be a killer in the summer. The pools were smaller than expected.

You can use Google Maps or Waze to find the Gold Strike Hot Spring trailhead (not to be confused with the Lake Mead Hot Springs trail which is located in the AZ side). This is a 5 mi round trip strenuous hike. I would not...More

Most (75-80%) of this trip was super easy, light elevation changes with either gravel or stepping rock. The remainder was various levels of difficulty, with at least 5 places where using a rope to shimmy up/down a six or eight foot drop was required. There...More

I definitely recommend this hike to those who are prepared to do a long hike that includes climbing up and down steep rocks with ropes. Hot springs are great. Don't go in high heat, signs are posted of people who have died here. I've seen...More

This hike is challenging with a couple rope assists and slick rock near the hot springs--it's definitely not for beginners. Avoid in summer months. Trail is closed due to extreme heat and the amount of rescues that happen there. Violating the closure can result in...More

It was a great experience walking from the car to the trailer kind of sucked from the gravel but once you get over there and you see all the nice rocks and ropes that already there and all the nice hot springs in it is...More

Really good climbing with my friend and a guide. Wide selection of routes and shaded areas if you just want to take it easy for a bit. Despite having plenty of climbing closer than this, it was well worth the drive.

Trail was great, with varying grades and scenery. Some wherewithal is required at some points (for example, it might prove tough to get all the way to the Colorado River if you don't wish to get wet), but it is overall a really fun experience,...More

We did not soak or dip in the hot springs due to how hot it was. The springs that come off the sides of canyon walls were enough to burn you. I love hot water but this was scolding. I would test it just to be sure.

Hi, The hike in and out takes between 4-5 hours. There are several ropes already in place at different points of the hike. The scrambling can be tricky at times, but not that difficult. Wear the right footwear and bring... More
