To think this dam was built in the 1930's is just amazing. It's a wonderful piece of engineering, particularly the bridge and spillways.

This was one of the must do places while we were visiting family in Las Vegas. It was cool to see the kids faces as we walked around. We even had some science fun by pouring water over the side to demonstrate reverse gravity! We...More

Walking one-half of the way across the bridge is worth the effort, even if it is 110 degrees. Great view of the river, Hoover Dam, and Lake Meade. What engineering! It causes me to go back to a National Geographic article of 2015 or 2016...More

I had high hoped for seeing the dam but I was disappointed. It wasn't as spectacular as I had hoped. It is worth a visit if you aren't scared of heights.

Definitely worth a visit. It is amazing to see the dam, and you can get near vertigo from looking down the other size. Recommend wearing polarized sunglasses so you can see the huge fish in the lake.

If you are heading to the Grand Canyon you are going across this anyway. It is really worth it too since you can see the dam and the bridge very well. We enjoyed it!

Very impressive and scary. It's one of the place to see in Las Vegas. There is a small bridge where walkers can take pictures of this impressive structure.

The lake you view from the dam is Lake Mead. Free parking on the Arizona side is for those that want to walk across the dam. It can fill in summer months and week-ends/holidays. More free parking is on the Nevada side for... More

would suggest looking for a group-on tour to a good deal. Also if you stay in Las Vegas check with the hotel your staying in sometimes they have someone there to arrange pick-up.
