They advertise that the first $20 in play is free. That is not true. They MIGHT give you $20 in free play, but first you have to put in your own $20, lose that, then put in the code for the free play, and put in an extra dollar to get the free play going. So, the first $21 dollars of play is on you, but if you get $20 of free play it's still a pretty good deal. I played, was never ahead, lost my $20 fairly quickly, then got my $20 in free play and lost that just as fast. My friend got lucky at first and turned her $20 into $43 dollars. She kept playing and then lost the $43 dollars. When she tried to get her free play they said she needed to lose another $20 to get it because she had won money. Clearly, they are false advertising. My friend lost her money and didn't get her free play. What does it matter if she was ahead at one point, she was ahead on her own money. So, if you win you won't get your free play unless you lose everything and they keep adding more money. It had been a fun time until that happened.

We came here nightly for drinks at the casino bar, not the most luxurious place but $10 (plus tip) for a beer and malibu and coke was so cheap compared to most of the strip.
Barmen friendly. Would recommend

This hotel is tucked in on the strip and is a diamond in the rough! Great to have free parking and quiet, clean rooms amidst the bustle!
Breakfast discounts at Dennys a plus!

This was our third stay at Casino Royale and once again they didn’t disappoint. The staff were excellent from start to finish. Great to still see the $2.49 foot long hot dogs were still there 👍🏻
This is a hidden gem on the vegas strip. Thanks again for another wonderful stay and we will be back…. Somewhen.

My friends and I visited the casino royale a few times whilst staying at the linq due to the great drinks deals.
Extremely cheap deals and the staff were great fun. The atmosphere at the casino rouale was very welcoming and lots of fun.

Average casino experience. Once we got around "Homeless Harry" and his piled high shopping cart by the entrance to the casino, we discovered a river boat level venue at best. Never before had we been approached by a seemingly helpful employee with her Walmart scanner in hand; ready to sign us up for a players card and $20 in free play. It seemed a bit odd, but; it was Vegas. Nothing extraordinary here. Just a stop along the strip.

We loved our stay here. From check in to check out we had no complaints. Every single person we encountered that works here was so friendly. Thomas the assistant general manager was the BEST! He got us checked in early and helped us with anything we needed with our stay. He always greeted us with a smile. Emily the cocktail waitress in the casino was amazing and kept us hydrated. The pool is the best kept secret of this hotel. People in reviews complain about the smell out the backdoor to the parking lot. This smell has no affect in the pool area. It was clean and refreshing and they keep it stocked with fresh clean towels every few hours. We will happily stay here on our next visit.

It's been a year and a half since we have been to Casino Royale..... no major changes, although they do not have their table games anymore. We were disappointed by that, but we weren't too surprised. They had been cutting back on those over the last few years so we sort of expected it to happen eventually. They still have the $2.49 footlong hot dogs, which was a good thing. No more Michelob or Michelob Light specials anymore, in fact they weren't selling those two beers any more at all. I doubt that it is Casino Royale's fault....their bartenders in the past used to brag about how they sold any more Michelob than any other establishment in Nevada. Anheuser-Busch probably quit offering them the discount.
Our visit to Casino Royale was nice....we had lunch there, played some slot machines and even won a little. We will be returning in the future.

I really enjoy this small casino. For a few years now, this is always one of the casinos that I go to whenever I am in Las Vegas. I like their assortment of slot machines. Its a small casino.... but nice. Excellent beverage service at the slots.

Disappointed to learn the pit was removed. No table games at all. Everything was removed to make way for slots only

Don’t know
Is it true you don't have to pay for drinks here if you tip the bartenders.

Tips don’t matter and have nothing to do with free drinks. Tips are your choice. What does matter is your Gambling play at the bar. If you play the machines at the bar drinks are free. However if if your play ebbs and slows down the bartender may decide to charge you. This happened to us and was unexpected. Basically you ask for a drink and don’t pay and the bar tender puts the bill in a glass on the bar. Out main complaint about this casino was the bar tender took our order and then charged the full price for the drink which we paid. What any other bar in Las Vegas would have done was said” I need to charge you for this one as your not playing enough”. If you play anywhere else in the casino (slots or table games) drinks are free and you typically just tip , if you don’t tip you may not see the waiter often.
Do they still sell $1 beers ?

Hey, $3.00 is still a decent price. But, why not just get one from the floor attendants and tip her the $2-3.00. She’ll be happy and you still got the beer. Maybe it’s just me but when I’m in Vegas I intentional tip the floor wait staff well.
What other casino can I cash in a payout voucher?

I believe you can only cash out at the casino you earned the voucher at.

Take it to the cashier cage from the casino where it issued.
Does Casino Royale still have $1 beer at the bar? If so what flavor?

Michelob Light for sure, because that's what we always get. Not sure about other flavors. We were just there in July and they still had it. Bartender once told us they sell more Mich Light than any other drinking establishment in Nevada (duh!)

I'm thinking it was called Michelob Ultra or something like that. They also had another more familiar brand for $2. But, I just drank the cheap one.
