Not a bad small casino. The promotional games are a joke . You don’t win any money. Drinks and food are expensive accept for a few things. Example 1 foot hotdogs are 2.99 not bad. Ben and jerry ice cream is expensive.

I have stayed here multiple times. It is not the place if you want "bling & blinblineo," But it IS the place if you want an immaculate room, a solid value, and no junk fees or schemes to empty your pockets (at least in the rooms). The staff is friendly, there is a refrigerator in the room for your use, and there are microwaves for guest use in a common area. NO "resort" or other junk fees. There are inexpensive restaurants, and a pharmacy next to the building. I was in town for a convention and it's walking distance (25 minutes) from the Las Vegas Convention Center. The rooms are not fancy, but clean & well maintained. There is also off-street parking. Exactly what I need when in town.

Casino Royale used to be a lively, upbeat fun dump with great table games, friendly dealers and cheap booze. Since the pandemic it is now just a dump. It is devoid of any previous reason to spend time there. Table games gone. Cheap booze gone. Fun gone. Today it’s just a dark depressing dump. Sad.

We stayed here because of NO RESORT FEE since it's February and all the Vegas pools are closed anyways. First off, all the table games are GONE. Bottled beers and footlong hot dogs are three bucks. Fast food (McD & WC) is conveniently located on either side. We also found out that the hotel is still privately owned - Mom & Pop as the front desk staff put it. When we checked in, we were handed our room keys, bottles of water, and extra coffee pods - and still no resort fee! lol If you have a bad back, the beds here are great - and wrapped in a protective case to prevent creepy-crawlys. Not a super fancy place, but all we really did was sleep there...so much to see in Vegas!! Las Vegas hasn't been cheap or clean in decades, so don't have high expectations for the Strip or Downtown. Just appreciate the sights, no matter what they are!

We only gambled here, but hands down the best waitress for getting drinks!!! She was always right there without even asking with refills! Even after returning after lunch she appears with a drink and remembered the order!!! For amazing service go here!!!

It is recommended to avoid this venue (unless it's solely to obtain $20 rebate)whereby the upgrade to 2 stars.
Be sure to ✔️ your Rewards card to see if $ is reloaded. (Our's wasn't.) The front counter lady(only one who was welcoming) will reload upon verification. If you happen to play new electronic solo craps machine (Interblock), there's no rebate although it's technically a slot machine (by industry without a dealer). To summarize our misunderstandings, a worker (limited English)was summoned over after several min. after non-response to "Call attendant" button. She claims in her 30 yrs. of experience that this (bubble 💭 Craps) machine doesn't take card inserts (like yesterday when it did when it wasn't black taped?). Then an unidentified shift supervisor(untagged like worker)came and became uncooperative, because we pointed out another machine said "🖨️ Printer paper out" and "Printer paper low" consecutively! Then things escalated as this firm doesn't want to listen or hear about easily fixed reoccurring issues. These remedies would assist other customers who may not now be forthcoming with this "unroyal" treatment.

Like a lot of vegas casinos--but they have a good promotion for folks signing up for their players club--the first time----------------if you do slots and lose $20---( easy to do )---they give you $20 back to play on some more slots----so you pay $20 for $40 worth of play------good deal

Used to love going here and still do, but some of the people they allow in the side entrance are really shady characters. Still am a huge fan of the casino and the old school vibe as well as the friendliness of the cocktail waitresses and bartenders. Also, this is the only hotel/casino that offers so much in free play/ food comps. I also always have good luck playing here. This trip I made to sure only visit in morning and afternoon, because the night crowd gets a bit sketchy. Still one of my favorite places to visit when in Vegas!

Given a 25 dollar reward given customarily to new players, bought a $3 bottle of premium beer, and a footlong for $2.99! Where else can you find such generosity along the LasVegas strip?

Don’t know
Is it true you don't have to pay for drinks here if you tip the bartenders.

Tips don’t matter and have nothing to do with free drinks. Tips are your choice. What does matter is your Gambling play at the bar. If you play the machines at the bar drinks are free. However if if your play ebbs and slows down the bartender may decide to charge you. This happened to us and was unexpected. Basically you ask for a drink and don’t pay and the bar tender puts the bill in a glass on the bar. Out main complaint about this casino was the bar tender took our order and then charged the full price for the drink which we paid. What any other bar in Las Vegas would have done was said” I need to charge you for this one as your not playing enough”. If you play anywhere else in the casino (slots or table games) drinks are free and you typically just tip , if you don’t tip you may not see the waiter often.
Do they still sell $1 beers ?

Hey, $3.00 is still a decent price. But, why not just get one from the floor attendants and tip her the $2-3.00. She’ll be happy and you still got the beer. Maybe it’s just me but when I’m in Vegas I intentional tip the floor wait staff well.
What other casino can I cash in a payout voucher?

I believe you can only cash out at the casino you earned the voucher at.

Take it to the cashier cage from the casino where it issued.
Does Casino Royale still have $1 beer at the bar? If so what flavor?

Michelob Light for sure, because that's what we always get. Not sure about other flavors. We were just there in July and they still had it. Bartender once told us they sell more Mich Light than any other drinking establishment in Nevada (duh!)
