Nice Diversion from the Gaming Attractions

This is such a clever concept and very well done - using shipping containers as the shells for shops, restaurants and bars. I can imagine that in the summer, it's jumping with special events, but in a quiet time it was a pleasant place to walk around

I visited during the day, a quick walk from the Neon Museum and Fremont Street Experience. This is a refreshingly small, family-friendly space. There were lots of families enjoying the play structure. The shops are fantastic to browse around. I picked up a few cool items here, and grabbed a delicious lunch at Simply Pure, and sat in the shade... More

We went at night because we were visiting Freemont street just up the road. We thought it strange that we were carded to enter the park but after a certain time you must be 18 to enter. The use of shipping containers was interesting. There were a few shops, restaurants and of course bars. It was relatively quiet except for... More

Discovered this by accident as I decided to wander off the beaten path of Freemont street. It's just a few blocks off and worth a visit. Lots of little shops and restaurants and a place for kids to play. There's the fire-snorting mantis to greet you as you enter. Definitely a place to check out while retreating from the mayhem... Great nighttime show with a large fire spitting ant at the entrance. Collection of old containers put to a different use as bars and artisan crafts,

This is one of the coolest places we visited while in Vegas. It is downtown, about four miles north of the strip. It is a series of shops, public spaces and restaurants built from recycled storage containers. Although the description thus far does not sound like much, the containers have been very tastefully re-purposed. There are areas for people to... More

We were wandering while looking for the toy store and found this. There's a great art installation in front of this place including a giant praying mantis with its own joy. The shopping/restaurants looked so interesting that I could easily spend fun days here. We found our way to the toy store and loved it. There were a couple bars,... More

This was a cool place shown to us by friends. The entire thing is built from shipping containers and surrounds a smallish play area for the kids. The giant fire spewing mantis out front lights up the night and is pretty awe inspiring, and the little shops inside are varied and are fun to browse through. Especially the chocolate shop... More
