We had a great day at Mt. Rose! Lots of vertical drop and nice variety of runs from beginner to expert. Only a few main chairs to get up the mountain and feed all the runs, so it was a bit crowded at the top....More

Our hometown resort continues to improve every year! We love this place, it is always groomed well, the staff is delightful, and every skill level has enough to ski or board on.

Moderate hike with great views, including Lake Tahoe, meadow and waterfall. Easy, plentiful parking. We hiked in August, yet still found snow for photo op. This is a section of the Tahoe Rim Trail.

The closest ski resort to the city of Reno, easy to get to. And relatively affordable in an area of extreme prices. Good slopes. Popular.

Highest resort in the Tahoe area. Small but challenging runs. The Chutes are some of the most challenging skiing in the area. Good food at both Rose and Slide Restaurants. Avoid on windy days.

I was up there today, yesterday and the day before. I have never seen anything like that occur at Rose. Rose a local, family friendly area, is as calm, safe, and chill as the come.

No gangs anywhere I've traveled. But use common sense when traveling, be aware, be careful, don't flash jewelry or money.
