We love to take our dog for a walk along the river. During the summer there are several places she can go in for a shallow dip. It's beautiful and also a great place for tubing down the river orca picnic

We arrived Sunday as the Truckee was flooding. Most of the walk was closed but the river was fascinating at flood stage. During the week it receded and the walk was - as always - fun and beautiful.

Take a few hours and enjoy the river walk. Go in the early afternoon so all the homeless have time to get up and moving. Don't stay late because of security reasons.

Disclaimer in that I was here on Christmas Eve, and it was cold with not much going on downtown. It was a nice area to walk around and people watch.

(I initially wrote this under "Truckee River Walk") oops. This park/riverwalk is a breath of fresh air in downtown Reno. The city or park planners have done an excellent job is creating a peaceful respite from the hub bub that one encounters in the rest of the downtown. Weather permitting this is a wonderful place to visit.

Good scenery and a nice way to spend a few hours wandering around. Plenty of things to do (window shop or just enjoy the sunshine). Good place to take the family.

What a welcome and wonderful escape from "the city"! Quiet, peaceful and there is nothing like the sound of the river. The paved walk way is inviting to walk or run! Nice benches along the way to stop and take it all in! Loved it!

We enjoyed walking along the river - contemporary environment, bridges, sculptures. Very green area. If any chance to keep the homeless people out - that would make this place even better!
