A fantastic afternoon spent out on the river with Matt, Emmett and the rest of the River Wrangler Crew!!!! If you are going to experience the Shubie River, this is the way to do it. A thrilling summer activity that I never miss out on. I'll be back again for the incredible expertise the drivers bring to the river, so that even my mom felt safe plunging over the waves. But also the responsiveness when booking and any questions I, or any of the other guests ever have are always timely, and professionally answered.
These guys provide an incredible service, but go above and beyond to engage with you and make you feel that the time they spend with you is genuine.
I'll see you next year wranglers!!!

We were a group of 8 on Thursday, August 12th, 2021. Although we all live in Nova Scotia, none of us had ever tried tidal bore rafting before. Well, we are hooked! I was the one the booked the adventure and did some due diligence first, checking out the different outfitters. I am very happy to say that everyone in our party still has a smile on their face 2 days later. Gathering with friends is always fun, but add in a great adventure down the Shubie with our awesome Guide Matt, tops it! Matt's skill working the waters and drenching us at different times was loads of fun! For those that don't want to be drenched with some fun waves, we were told when arriving that all you need do is let your guide know what you are comfortable with. They adjust accordingly. Thank you Matt for the first of many trips to come.

This excursion is an an absolute must for anyone looking to experience the power of the Fundy tides up close and personal. Why watch the tidal bore from land when you can appreciate the intensity and strength riding on top of the waves. Captain Matt was an outstanding tour guide. He made everyone feel welcome, comfortable, and safe. His comedic delivery made the tour entertaining and informative by providing his knowledge of the area. He was also more than willing to answer questions. And of course he delivered the splashes and thrills we all came for. He did a fantastic job reading the boat and customizing the ride to suit the guests. We saw bald eagles and were given the opportunity to go swimming and go mud sliding as well. You will get wet, so bring a towel and a change of clothes. Book today, you won't regret it!

These guys are the BEST!
I’m writing this review heading home after rafting with my sister, her friend, and our dad to celebrate my sister’s 25th birthday.
We had the privilege of having both Emmett and Matt as our drivers.
The tour was filled with tons of BOREing knowledge (it was actually quite interesting) and an abundance of funny jokes. We stopped for mud sliding, we got slapped with water and rocked by the waves and we had lots of laughs.
Matt lead us through most of the tour. He was born to take people out on the Shubenacadie River, guys. I’m telling you, this is his calling (Unless he decides to go big in the standup comedy world).
If you are at all scared or nervous, there’s no need to be. From the moment we got there we were with friends. Matt and Emmett were both professional and their confidence, calmness, and humour made it feel like we were out for a cruise with old pals.
Oh, I forgot to mention... today is also when hurricane Teddy began to hit us and we were still able to go on our adventure. There wasn’t a single moment where I didn’t feel safe!
I’m sad that our adventure is over. I will definitely be back again!
Much love for these guys.

River Wranglers, what can I say! I’m gonna say this….. soooooo worth it for any one from the area or anyone coming from afar. If you want a first time adventure or a return adventure you won’t be disappointed. Our boat captain Haley was fantastic, she made a very nervous young man come out of his shell to have a great time he couldn’t stop talking about, no that’s skill.
The crew is very knowledgeable and safety conscious and are very reassuring that accidents only happen if you want them to. Never felt more relaxed on an adventure before.
Laughed until my sides hurt, wet and muddy to the bone, and will do it all again someday soon.

10 stars 🌟 . We had SO MUCH FUN! Our group went out for the 4 hour harvest moon tidal bore and our guide Jason expertly barreled us thru the waves. We got pounded and it was awesome. All staff at this site are great - happy, energetic and a blast to spend a day with. Thank you for the most memorable part of our Nova Scotia adventure.

An amazing, unforgettable experience. We went with a group of 16 people in late August 2021, kids and adults and had an absolute blast. Our guides, Evan and Mike were incredible, friendly, entertaining and interactive with all of us. Would recommend tidal bore rafting with The Shubie Wranglers to anyone and already have!

We had been really excited about this activity and it did not disappoint!
We have been white water rafting before but this was a whole other level.
Our driver Nina was knowledgeable but made it fun and was determined to get the best out of the rapids. We opted not to do the mud slide but enjoyed watching the others, getting stuck in the mud and having a swim while waiting for the bore to come in.
We went on the 20th July and it was very warm!
We chose the four hour rafting and were so pleased we did. The first two hours , as advertised, started leisurely and once we watched the bore coming in the rafting started. However this was just the appetiser. The second two hours were where the thrills were. Much bigger rapids and the experienced drivers knew just how to hit the rapids and how much incoming water the boats could take!
If you’re undecided whether to go for the two hours (A or B). Choose B. Or if you can spare the time do the full 4 hour rafting - it’s definitely worth it!
Thank you Nina and the team for a fantastic trip!! We won’t forget it in a hurry.

This was our first time river rafting here on the Shubenacadie River. The experience exceeded our expectations, even though, friends assured us their trips were the top or close to the top fun activity of their lifetime.
Our driver Nina knew the river well and used her knowledge to give our family group (8) a thrilling ride every member old and young fully enjoyed.
The younger family members enjoyed the mudslides immensely ... Grandpa (myself) was content to watch.

Shubie River Wranglers… the ride on the river was fun and the guide was great but the facilities are poor and not well equipped. Outdoor toilets and only 4 outdoor showers with cold water for 60 people after getting off the boats. Long wait times.
The office staff are not very welcoming or friendly.
Getting down to the boats is very tricky you have to walk down a very slippery mud hill. No stairs or anything to hold on to.
If it’s a cool cloudy day it’s good to borrow the yellow rain coats to break the wind.
