Great Conditions Fair price
Aug. 2018 • Couples
Played this course on 16 Aug 18. Course was in great condition. Greens are quick, fair and large Just the right amount of slope in the greens to make you think but not so hard to make the round unpleasant. Nice family run course. Had a nice chat with the owner's wife who runs the snack bar and told us that the course was opened in 2003. The views on the back nine are great. The ruff is cut just about right. The back and the front are really 2 different courses. Front is narrow and the back is more wide open. Just a short drive from Halifax and it is worth the trip.

Not 100% links but great nonetheless
Aug. 2018 • Friends
Great course with some really challenging holes. The front nine has 7 holes that run through the woods so the course isn't 100% links style. The back nine is beautiful, starting on top of the hill and going down level with the Shubenacadie River.

We found the fairways were long and wide with great landing areas, but if you miss them the rough is pretty long and thick.

A few holes have a long walk from the green to the next tee so if it's a really hot day I'd recommend getting a cart.

Combo - Links and Woodland
Jun. 2017 • Solo
Front nine meanders through the woodland and the back nine is links style - without the ocean - just the Shubenacadie River. The front nine fairways give the appearance of being tight (due to the tree line) but you have to hit it really wayward to find yourself in real trouble. The rough is not overly difficult however, any further and the long hay will eat up your ball. The back nine is completely open to the wrath of the wind. The greens are generous and well maintained. They are quick and roll true. Very walkable but two holes have quite a trek between green and tee. Staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for an afternoon of golf enjoyment.

One of the best courses around; definitely worth a stop!

I have been a member here for several years now and will continue to be. It's one of the best courses around; especially when you consider the green fee.

It's almost like playing two different courses as the front is cut through the woods and the back is links style along the river. It's a challenge, but a fair challenge. The greens are always in great shape and roll true.

I've played many many rounds with green fee players and they are always very happy with the course when the round is over.

Highly recommend!

A great mix of links and park style course, what a view!

The front nine takes you to the forest side while the start of the back nine will remind you of a link style course. Was in great condition in June. The views from the holes on the top of the hills are amazing. Great return on investment here. Friendly staff and great service. Cant go wrong playing here.

Great Course

Play this course often. It's in good shape, get very friendly service and the food is excellent.
Course is challenging but not a killer. Unless you play the black tees!
Especially like the back nine. More of a links type layout.
Worth the trip to play!!
