The covered bridge in Bath, NH is very pretty. It’s worth a short stop even though it is less impressive than the longer Haverhill-Bath bridge in Woodsville. Park to the side and walk across the bridge. Sunshine glistening on the river waters is a beautiful sight from the windows of the bridge. Watch out for traffic – some drivers take... More

I understand it is one of the larger covered bridges, and its quite impressive! There was no one around so we were able to take our time driving through, and take pictures. Amazing architectural detail

Pretty impressive - and hopping. There was a tour bus there, and dozens of cars - on an off-season weekday. Various sites put it between 370' and 390'

This is my fav covered bridge in Grafton County and any trip to New England when you are looking for a photo op and unique walk should include a stop here in Bath, New Hampshire.

Very unique architectural details. The bridge spans naturals falls and a hydro . When the water is higher it an be very impressive. You can drive and walk across the bridge.

A fantastic addition to our vacation. The entire area is beautiful, and people are very friendly. Just don't drive your ATV across the bridge and into town. It's not allowed!

This is one of many covered bridges in the area, but it is enclosed with only a few small windows, consequently it is very dark inside. You can walk through it, but you can also drive through it, which is an amazing experience.

So glad we got to see it up close and personal! Wonderfully built and fun to ride across! Great river view and saw some fishermen down there too!

Drive this bridge if your stopping in town for snacks or the art gallery (nice artist and does fine work). The bridge crosses the ammonoouc river at a particularly pretty location. It is only a covered bridge, but it's a symbol of this areas heritage and architecture to be appreciated.

The Bath Covered Bridge was called by locals "the kissin' bridge" for obvious reasons. People think the the bridges were built of wood to be similar to barns that horses were used to going into. Covering the bridges was really to protect the wood from rotting from the rain. The Bath Village Covered Bridge was originally built in 1832, and... More
