The Cog Railway can be either great or awful depending on the weather. The views from the top can be as scenic as it gets, but on a cold cloudy day it will be unbearable at the top and you won't be able to see...More

I have a brochure from the Mt. Washington Cog Railroad. The phone number is 1-603-278-5404. The address is Base Station Rd. Mount Washington, NH. 03589. I do not know what they do if it is foggy and I do not know the prices because we were on a tour and they purchased the tickets for us. Hope this helps.
I have asthma and had no difficulty. Again, as stated above dress warm. Take a light weight scarf that would be able to cover your mouth and nose to keep the air you breathe in warmer. There is a visitor's center at the... More
I have asthma and had no difficulty. Again, as stated above dress warm. Take a light weight scarf that would be able to cover your mouth and nose to keep the air you breathe in warmer. There is a visitor's center at the top if you become to cold I would suggest you get inside. Not knowing your actual physical illness she probably should check with your doctor, to be sure. The altitude is over 6,000 ft.
