Newfound Lake is a priceless place - something like 22 springs refresh the lake something like 4-5 times a year, making the water so beautifully clear. And Wellington State Park is a treasure. It's a very clean gated park (paid entrance as a State Park),...More

Spent most of the summer in and out. Great beach area. Wonderful place for children with the gradual depth. Can go down the sides if you don't want to be around children. Bring your picnic lunch- tables and grills available. Cleanest lake in NH!!!

Reasonable entry price, $5 for adults and $2 for children 11 and under. Walk to beach is not too long with picnic tables in shade all along beach area. There is plenty of shade and you can sit in your chair and watch your little...More

Have not visited yet, checked it out today as people were rushing to take shelter from a sudden shower. Saw a sign that parking permits were needed. Does anyone know where to get them? Thx

The beach itself isn't as big or sandy as most... but the water you can't beat! Love new found lake. Always clean! I'd suggest Wellington to anyone who doesn't usually desire lakes due to bacteria.

Wellington State Park is on Newfound Lake and the water is absolutely clear and pristine. Great place for a "beach day"....soft sand, picnic area, playground area, and lifeguards. Can't beat it on a hot summer day.

Great state park for family to enjoy. Nice set up of picnic tables and grills, some are more private so you can stay away from the crowds. Go look for them by the beginning of the nature trail. Cleanest lake water around. Get there early.
