This best kept secret of the White Mountains takes you deep in the NH woods. It's a great place for the whole family just to take a breather and get away from everything. Make sure you have 4WD and take the trip over the Notch...More

In summer and fall, there are many great hikes and mtn bike rides on trails in the notch. The notch itself is a great cyclocross bike ride or a car ride with clearance. It's single lane (find a place to pull over when another car...More

If your looking for a nice little getaway you should head this way. Yes the road gets narrow but is easily negotiated even with the smallest cars. Followed by a little walk to the falls adds up to a very nice relaxing day. With a...More

You can stop in several places at trail heads or along waterfalls. The road can be tricky, because it is dirt, very hilly and rarely maintained. It is closed in the winter to cars, but becomes a great snowmobile trail.

The sense of history, the old cellar holes, the hiking off the road in any direction, the quiet, the ponds you have to search for, the foliage in season, and coming out in Sandwich if you started in Campton.

We used to camp there. There are several areas to pitch a tent. The hiking is nice too, we found a waterfall area with a shallow swimming area, and a little further along that path, there are some pretty cool sliding rocks... There are old,...More

This is a one lane road. I think the speed limit is 10 mph. It is ONLY open in the warmer months. Most GPS systems don't recognize this really important fact and every year cars either get stuck or have to drive an extra 30...More
