We brought our family here and while we greatly appreciate any science centers, this one was so small and limited in scope and exhibits, we really couldn't appreciate it like we would liked to have. I don't think we'll be back unless we hear that...More

Sorry you didn't enjoy your time here. While we are certainly smaller than museums in major urban centers, our 45,000 square-foot facility is quite large for a rural/Northern New England museum. We are an air and space museum, which is not everyone's cup of tea;...More

We really enjoyed our visit to the discovery center and ended up staying over 2 hours. Lots of great games and quizzes for kids and big kids like us!

My family and I visited the museum for the first time this afternoon. It’s smaller than anticipated but did have many very interesting, hands on stations which my teens (ages 12,12,15) enjoyed. The concept is great and we did learn a lot today. However, the...More

I took my granddaughter here today. She went here on a class trip a couple of months ago and she loved the learning experience so I thought I might enjoy this too. I was a little let down to learn that the planetarium was closed...More

We're so glad you enjoyed your visit! We had a glitch with two of our planetarium servers, but the wonderful company that created our planetarium system solved the problem for us, all is back in working order.

Not a big place but perfect size for kids. Some interactive stuff to do. Planetarium shows nice. This is very NH sized and style.

We spend a few hours at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center with our daughter and three grandchildren. It was very engaging for all of us. As a teacher, I would love to see more on Christa McAuliffe, but still it is a great place.

Great to hear! We opened as a stand-alone planetarium in 1990, but we upgraded our planetarium and transformed (and more than quadrupled in size) into a full science museum with two floors of interactive science and engineering exhibits, plus some outdoor exhibits, in 2009. It's...More

We visited the Discovery Center on a whim and really enjoyed it. We expect especially enjoyed the NASA film in the planetarium. Both adults and kids will find plenty to see and learn here.
