I loved this place! They have outstanding historical pieces. They have an original broadside of the Declaration of Independence. The tour guides were very knowledgable and friendly. If I ever get back this way again I'll definitely visit!

Interesting museum; small. Worth including in a visit to Exeter - we took a docent tour and learned a lot. Easy parking.

Valuable information about history is shared in an interesting way. Self guided tours are allowed, but I recommend a guided tour.

This museum is right in downtown exeter across from the Riverwalk area which is a nice walk after the museum tour. We were given a choice of touring the house on our own or having a guide. We choose to have a guide which was...More

Since it took about two weeks of hard riding to get the news of the Declaration of Independence to New Hampshire, we celebrate Independence Day around July 16th here in Exeter. It's a wonderful celebration and the American Independence Museum is the centerpiece. The lawn...More

This was a lovely partly cloudy day with great friends. We spent the day visiting the vendors and learning so much from the re-enactors and their encampment. It was fun to see the cannons fired and to see the mock battle between the British troops...More
