It's better to get the discovery pass to cover both franconia notch n flume gorge. Pass is valid thru Oct for most of the years. really enjoyed the tram ride and the walk/hike on the top of the mountain.

Based on the title, you're probably wondering why I gave FNSP an average rating. Exceptional location, beautiful scenery, good facilities and helpful staff (for the most part, more on that it a bit) would all seem to make for a wonderful couple of nights. And...More

Stopped to see the Old Man in the Mountain site and The Basin, both of which are free to visit. Took about two hours to do both. Well worth a visit.

We hiked up to Lonesome Lake, while not a long hike it is a bit steep. The lake at the top is beautiful. Well worth your time.

We had lunch in North Woodstock before heading to the Notch. I am thinking that the Flume may be the only place to purchase food in the notch.
