We were able to get cheap parking ($5 for all day). The beach is decently clean, less crowded. Fair warning, the water is freezing. When we were there they had a sandcastle building contest. I attached some photos.

It would be perfect if the visitors had any respect for the natural world and didn't throw trash everywhere.

Nice clean beach and facilities. We come early and either park right near the beach for a short stay, but there is all day parking further back from the beach. Saw the sand sculptures this week--a yearly event,

Beach very close to hotels and roads so no need to walk to far. Soft sand and clean. Open till 1 am.

Hampton Beach has been a great destination for the 20 years I've lived in NH. Always clean, with modern bathhouses, Hampton features lots of nearby takeout on NH-1A. Best parking is at the official State Park entrance on the south end of Hampton. Fixed price...More

The beach was nice, but it was obvious from the parking everywhere and dirty motels that this beach gets really crowded, and not with the best crowds during peak season.

Over crowded on the weekend. Better to go during the week. The beach isn't anything special. Too many young kids playing music and not very classy people there. Will not go back again

This beach is one of the cleanest in the United States. And, every year in early September, Ocean Blvd. is shut down for the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival. The event draws thousands. My most-recent visit was on a late spring weekday in June with iffy...More

If you have an R.V.,either place is good, but I would go slightly inland for tent camping. Salisbury is PACKED and right on top of one another. No privacy at either place. Reservations are made through Reserve America. No... More

How do I make reservations for the state park

My understanding is that it isn't a camping or day use type of park where a reservation might be necessary. The beach itself is a state park.

It's not like it used to be years ago. You can find a few if you go out early in am at low tide.
