I went to see Orozco's murals. Saw his and Rivera's work in Mexico so knew what to expect both in the content of the art and the artist's political outlook . The murals are stark and can be disturbing to some. No matter your politics...More

If you have heard about Diego Rivera, you should already know about Jose Clemente Orozco--a fellow muralist. What you may not know--but can discover if you are on the Dartmouth College campus--is that the Baker-Berry Library has a complete mural of his on its walls....More

Baker Library now has copper tops. They had been green for many years. Because of a recent Boston Globe review, many will come here for the Orozco murals. They are an interesting historical piece of art, but my wife found them quite disturbing. I found...More

As with my opinion of the campus, this is also the best of the best Ivy libraries. It's conveniently located in the center of campus and both modern and historic.

I take all my out of town guests to see the Orozco murals…they are historic, and impressive, thought-provoking, as there are moving topics covered. You would not expect to find such (non-quiet) murals behind the doors of a library.

you will note the Baker Library building write across the green as you arrive to Dartmouth. There is a lot more there than books. Amusing place. Visit the Baker tower and the third floor reading room and you will learn why. :)

Love love love this Library! Beautiful, historic. In Winter, Fall, Spring or summer! It really reminds me Harry Potter's school scenes.
