This is a must do while in Holderness. It is an easy hike for those who may not be experienced. The views are breathtaking and the fall colors were beautiful.

Because we were in the area, we tried this easy - moderate, short hike, tho I was surprisingly out of breath from it. Old bridal path trail on West Rattlesnake Mountain evidently no longer has rattlesnakes - whew. It was a little hard to find, but the view was well worth it. Because the relatively flat rock at the top... More

My wife and I were in Wolfeboro for a wedding and had some time to kill one nice sunny day so drove up here to take a hike. There are dirt parking lots on both sides of the road at the trailhead - I'd say they hold about 20 & 30 cars respectively. They seem to fill up fast and... More

Well traveled, easy climb on gentle slopes to top. Good for beginners. Great for children and dogs, too.

Beautiful views of Squam Lake. Can be quite crowded in the summer and fall, especially on the weekends.

Great hike, very easy. Dog friendly. Amazing views from the top. The trail is very easy to follow and has rocks and logs for steps in many areas.

Rattlesnake Mountain is a easy trail that is maintained by the University of New Hampshire. the incline is steady, with a few steep parts, but nothing major. You will find really young kids using this trail as it is more recreational than hard. Once you reach the top you can see into Lake Winnipesaukee. People will paint at the top,... More

Gently curving 1.7 mile trail through the woods with relatively easy changes in altitude. Saw people walking on the trail, from around 4 to 70 years old. At the top, vista over Squam Lake, surrounding hills and trees is gorgeous, especially with mid-October fiery fall colors.

We hiked the trail with a 5 years old who walked by her self and a two years old ( mostly on the back) very nice trail. Not easy but fair and possible. If you take it easy and stop on the way up you'll find it very nice. Impressive view from the top. Even on a cloudy day.

This is a great hike if you are short on time or are not fit for an all day hike! It is a fairly steep climb but the view at the summit is worth every bit of exertion!
