Love to go there to kayak and fish or just take a hike and sit at the water's edge to relax!

Close to home, with great water access, makes this my favorite kayaking site. There are actually several places you can put in, depending what type of boat you have, so you can see all of the lake in a kayak. Except of course the Manchester Water Works area as this is prohibited. Unfortunately, you also can not swim here, or... More

My husband and I rented a tandem kayak for "kayaking under stars" and it was awesome! We got to see the sun set on the lake (which was just breathtaking) and then kayaked around until the stars came out. We started around 7:20pm and called it a night around 10 (but could have stayed out until 11). We totally enjoyed... More

I go for walks around this lake every other day. There are multiple trails good for walking and biking. This lake is big with multiple small island, perfect for kayaking, boating and fishing.

If you work in Manchester, it is a great place to enjoy a quiet lunch during a busy workday. Clean with lots of parking. On weekends, go for a bike ride or hike.

Met up with family there and had a picnic lunch. So calm and peaceful. Lucky to see a mother duck and her babies, as well as a Loon.

The walk was very scenic, but you cannot put your feet in at all, even getting in or out of a canoe! My son got a warning from the ranger. Ouch. Not sure why motor boats with gas/ oil, are allowed, but not a foot to get into the canoe.

Massabesic Lake is a nice park where you can hike, enjoy the nature view, relax or go fishing. You can bring your dog to this park for hiking. It is a quite park, not too far from the town. There are boats on the reservoir along with fishers. Strange how boats are in the reservoir, but you are not allow... More

I often take time to enjoy nature without traveling very far. The other day a friend and I enjoyed the Goldenrod (nearby restaurant with ice cream), and had some extra time, so we drove to Lake Massabesic just moments away to continue talking and enjoying the early summer day. The parking lot is free, easy to find a spot most... More
