Open seven days 10am-6pmOur museum is the only museum in the country which chronicles the history of the motorcycle policeman. There are 76 motorcycles on display from 1912 to 2005, a movie theater, a workshop where we build a bike a year, a 1948 Indian we built as a Laconia Police motorcycle with uniforms from the forties that you can wear for a souvenir picture , a uniform timeline and so much more.

My son, a Ohio police officer did visit and wanted to see the museum, the latter being a relative small house. When they did ask him to shell over $ 11.-, he said no thank you and left. In the meantime, that museum closed its doors.

Your son is the first Police officer in six years to express concern over a place that pays tribute to their heroic service and sacrifice. The building has over 7500 square feet of exhibits and it was never a house. We are opening this year and I sincerely hope your son comes back and I will personally walk him through... More

Noticed as we just drove past that their sign says "closed" and also on their website that they hope to reopen and relocate in 2017. We visit Meredith frequently and never actually visited the museum, but I thought I'd share this news with the TripAdvisor community.

The American Police Motorcycle Museum is a labour of love by its owner, and succeeds on all counts. Whether your interest is motorcycles, policing or general social history, this collection ticks all the boxes. Spread over three floors, it contains a fascinating collection of mainly US police bikes (some quite rare), and all sorts of associated memorabilia. An excellent place... More

An amazing family owned and managed museum. Owner, Doug, has been collecting and restoring bikes since he was 12. His collection of memorabilia and bikes is expansive. Doug is an extremely passionate and informative currator. Well worth the stop, even for us non-bikers.
