Easy to enjoy the field, the stonewall, the trails and the view. The trails are easy and the history is great to get acquainted with areas of the town you live in.

Lots of trails and water/pond views. Level ground for the most part so it's good for any age. Dogs welcome. Visitor center is run by a descendant of the original farmer. Worth a stop to see him.

We usually snowmobile through the Monson, but we have also hiked it in the spring through the fall, and even snowshoed it. The trails are marvelously kept up throughout the year by the Hollis snowmobile club. A great little piece of history in beautiful surroundings....More

On Federal Hill Road, just about where Hollis and Milford meet, there's a small parking lot. From there hikers walk down to the beginning of the trails. First you come to a restored house from the past. There are several trails, most of which lead...More

Rock walls and rolling hills are a beautiful walk. The historical plaques were interesting and useful. Needed more directions or a maps. However a warning about the mosquitoes would have been appreciated. I do however know what happened to the former inhabitants, sucked dry by...More

It is a pretty drive though Hollis with maybe a stop at Lull Farm (great pastries, produce, local apple juice) and a coffee from Dunken Donuts ( no drive thru, they had to pretend to not be "fast food" to open in Hollis) Monson is...More

Old 1700 ghost town somewhat hidden on the town lines of Milford/Hollis. We have lived in the area since the mid-1070s and never knew it was nearby. Went today and the stone walls and open fields were spectacular. Hard to believe that it was almost...More
