This theme park had a setting in a Western movie, such as "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly". It offered gun fights, a stagecoach ride, and a saloon. The gift shop sold toy guns, cowboy hats, and other souvenirs.

Just thought I would post that this attraction is closed. We stayed down the road and planned to visit while in Jefferson on vacation this week, but it’s run down and appears to be permanently shut down. The campground attached does appear to be up and running, but under a different name. Fort Jefferson I think might be the campground.

After looking at website I decided to drive the 2.5 hours and take my kids. Don't go. People were smoking in the wading pool. We left and got our money back.

Went to the campground with my two daughters, one who has a disability and a service dog. The campground has issues with my dog being tied up on leash at our site. They did not want the dog in the park at all. Staff complained about the dog being with my daughter. Then went to the ice cream social where the tractor brought everyone to the park. The staff told us at the end of the night that the wagon was full and they would not be coming back for us......Really???? They wanted me to either walk the dark woods with my daughter who is a "flight risk" or along the state highway. After I complained, a nice family walked back and gave up his seats for us. Next thing I know the owner came to the site to kick us out and force us to leave late night. Threatened to have send the state police over to have us removed when it was dark out. He put me and my girls at risk driving late night two and a half hours home falling asleep at the wheel and my elderly dad forced to be out past his normal day, he fell at the camp as he was walking in the dark and during thunder storm and heavy downpours. Not family oriented at all. Stay away from this place.

We decided to drive up to Six Gun City to have a Family outing and let the children have their "memories of cowboy fun". There was 15 of us. As there has been in the past. Well I must say we paid for our ticket and walked through the door and stepped into the West...Well kinda.... What was the Wild West is now the desert. Its dried up, gone, like the tumbleweeds. Rolling Rolling Rolling. We each looked at each other with our chins on the ground. We should have asked for our money back immediately. The only thing worth playing was the laser tag and the few go carts they had (4) you waited in line forever. Because there was only 4. Seriously don't waste your time. What was Six Gun City is gone. We dubbed it Sx Gun S%4#! No Gun City. Glad we could experience it while it was still in operation. So sad our last memories dampened the good ones.

There is only a small time frame in a childs life where they want to pretend play. No video games, no tv. Nothing but their imagination, guns strapped to their hip, boots on, a cowboy hat & a bandana. They were saving the West and arresting the bad guys. I would trade the memories of those 4 trips over 3 years with the whole family in tow for anything. It was worth every penny and my son will never forget the fun. Yes it may need some work, but it wasn't bout the glamour or being catered too. It was about letting those children run and play freely (which in todays world they cannot do) It was about being able to see them throughout the whole town and them never out of our site. If they wanted to canoe they could, swim, play mini golf, laser tag, or just run and run and run and shoot the bad guys or throw them in jail they could. We love the place and what it represents. To be honest I wish we owned the place so I could revive it back to its former glory. It hold a special place in our family memories.

As titled. It wasn't good..but it wasn't bad. Everything has changed since I had been there last. I went with family and the kids had fun, even if the adults didn't. Everything has been closed and locked, though, you can still take pictures. Very few rides are left. (The golf course is still open, or assuming the case.) They have a few horses, though you can't ride them. (Which just makes me sad.) Most teenage workers, and few of them would rather talk among themselves. (Kudos to the teenagers who actually did their job well.) It was fun for the kids, but I don't see myself going back unless someone invents a time machine and takes it back to when it was more of a wild west theme park. I will mention however the park website doesn't have any hours listed, and is open at 11am.

Most of the park was closed in fact the only thing open was a small room for lazer tag. (Waterslides had no water..half the park was roped off NOTHING WAS WORKING.)Called the day before driving 3 hours they told me they were open Sunday July 5th from 1pm-6pm. I arrived with a SUV full of disappointed children.
