This highway is newly paved which helps with a pleasant and smooth drive. There are many places to pull off for spectacular views. There are also hiking trails which can be reached from various marked areas along the highway.

Sunset is 7:14pm on the so plenty of time before it is dark. You've pretty much highlighted most of the places to stop with a view. But also have a look at Pemigewasset Overlook
