If you are climbing in the White Mountains this is the place to hire a guide. We have climbed several times with different guides and they are unfailingly professional, knowledgeable, and extremely safe. Brad, who runs the school, is great to deal with in the booking process. Once out on the rock, you will be in great hands and learn... More

We went with Paul for our first climb. (mom, Dad and kids 12 & 14)It was very well organized and we all had a great time. Very patient and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend it to others.

Grant was an AWESOME guide! Such a great teacher- so patient, enthusiastic, and supportive. I'm a total newbie- I can't believe he managed to help me get past my initial intense fear of falling! My boyfriend and I had a great time. Everyone else in the shop was mega nice, too. Looking forward to the next time we get to... More

Very knowledgable and patient instructor. Easy access to some beautiful learning terrain. My kids and I felt completely safe the whole time. FYI: My youngest and I are not big fans of high places, so feeling safe was a big deal.

Quality, high end products and staff that know their stuff. They have both new and used/consignment items. If you have any questions, they're eager to help and get you the right product for your needs.

I am from north of Montreal Quebec and a few weeks ago I went to North-Conway NH on a hiking weekend. I took the opportunity to go shopping and found that the International Mountain Equipment store had a pair of telemark bindings that I wanted. Back home, I discovered that both bindings were for the left foot. I called Rick... More

We have used International Climbing School four different times. We always have a great guide who is very knowledgeable. As we don't climb often enough to consider ourselves competent on anything that can't be top roped, we love to expand our knowledge with them. It's always a great day! Highly recommend.

I have been to the store many times for gear. This is the place to go for new and used technical gear and a helpful, knowledgeable staff. You should definitely check it out (especially if you're a gearhead). As for the school, I ran into the guide Zeb while climbing White Horse. He had a group of kids, and was... More

I decided to tackle mountaineering, after years of reading books about it. I am a newbie to the activity, and IMCS has made the experience outstanding. I started with the 3 day mountaineering course in March. I learned a tremendous amount. Our guide, Sam, was extremely knowledgable and very patient with someone whose only experience has come from reading books.... More
