My husband and I took our granddaughter and her parents to the North Pole from the North Conway station in NH. Jack Frost cooperated by snowing the night before, so there was 4-6 inches on the ground. Huge for the ambiance. My granddaughter is almost...More

Thank you for this really nice review! We provide the trains for the event, but everything at the "North Pole" is staged by the Believe in Books Literacy Foundation, for which the event is its major fundraiser. I'll be sure to share your comments with...More

We took our one year old on the Christmas train with Santa and friends. Most important thing: GET THERE EARLY! We were fortunate to get to sit together but there were two families that couldn’t get seats all together. It was advertised that the elves...More

Thanks for reminding people to get here early. When we have sold out cars, as we often do with this event, our train crew tries their best, but it's not always possible for families to sit together once the train has boarded. Re: pictures, what...More

The convey scenic railway is truly one of a kind. You can take a train through the valley from their station in North Conway village to the town of cinnamon which is about a one hour round trip, which also offers a dining option. There...More

We appreciate this reviewer taking the time to post so many details about our various excursions. Just a few corrections: the Conway Valley Train is about an hour round-trip, but the Bartlett excursion is an hour and forty-five minutes round-trip, and the Notch is five...More

They offer several different routes and 'Class of service" tickets. Very enjoyable and a great way to get an overview of the surrounding countryside. Very family friendly and you can wander around the Train Yard/Depot and see the trains and cars up close and personal!

Railroad is a nice way to spend a leisurely afternoon. It’s conveniently located in downtown NorthConway, so you can easily walk around the area. Due to the season, we could only do the Valley tour, which is about a 54 minute ride. Still nice views.

Been on both and though I've been on both I'd have to go with North Conway. BTW there's an Italian restaurant called Vito Marcelo right across the street. Definitely give it a try. You won't go wrong.

We have had the box lunch which was OK. Our grandson likes the hot dogs, but most kids do. If you want something special for lunch pack your own. You can always get hot or cold drinks on the train.
