For MWV Moose Bus Tours... Starting May 2017 is our 11th season providing a safe, informative, entertaining, and enjoyable night time MOOSE tour out of North Conway. Moose have been seen on over 1000 of our tours and owner/operator Elwyn Wheaton now has over 3000 hours experience driving at night in New Hampshire MOOSE country. So for the 2017 season it's again... Moose Movie - Moose Tour - Moose Fun ! We are 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 Certificate of Excellence Winner from TripAdvisor. Ride along as we do a night time 3 1/2 hour MOOSE tour out of North Conway to seek, see, and view New Hampshire MOOSE. Departure time is now always about 8PM to 8:30PM throughout our partial schedule so please when making your reservation just confirm the time you are to meet the bus at the train station. To begin the tour, an informative movie about New Hampshire MOOSE is shown. All find it to be excellent. At some point there's a bathroom stop where snacks and refreshments are available too. We are able to seek and view MOOSE after dark because our MOOSE bus is allowed to use floodlights and spot lights to seek and see MOOSE at night. It's attempted to have this adventure enjoyable to MOOSE seekers of all ages, adults and children alike. Most will agree it is. With the movie nearly 2 hours of DVD MOOSE entertainment is included. Between MOOSE "hot spots" some slideshows of MOOSE photos are played. One slideshow includes a few MOOSE tunes for kids. And added now is a slideshow with Shaw Brothers' song "New Hampshire Naturally" and only HD photos. All find it done well. Historically a success rate of over 96% is found May thru September. In the past this Tour has provided an average of 5+ MOOSE being seen and some nights even more MOOSE were seen. Not all tours offer photo opportunities yet our buses have windows that open when photo opportunities occur. We disembark the bus when ever possible, which happens the most in the summer. Please know the MOOSE we seek on this night time MOOSE Tour are wild animals and are unpredictable. We try our best in the time allowed. Again, last year, like most years, MOOSE were seen in all but a few nights thru Labor Day weekend ! Pretty awesome! Our success rate is also darn good right thru September, into October, and that's when there might be a sighting of a Bull MOOSE with full grown antlers too - which is exciting ! Our social media page is updated regularly too. To sum up, for every tour it's attempted for all aboard to have a safe, informative, entertaining, and enjoyable experience... and return saying "We saw MOOSE !". So late May into October make plans to have this night time MOOSE Tour be part of your 2017 North Conway White Mountains vacation experience and enjoy a night of MOOSE entertainment !

By the time we went on the Moose Tour (late September), the salt licks near the road which Elwyn pointed out to us where moose liked to go, had probably lost all their salt from the previous winter's road salting. Therefore we saw nothing at all. In fact I was surprised to see other reviews in September which had seen... More

My Tripadvisor description for 2016, which has since been updated, spoke that our 2015 season saw it's best success from May through Labor Day and so an avid user of TripAdvisor like this reviewer was able to know this info ahead of time. And that's how our 2016 season went as well, with best success and more Moose seen on... More

My wife and I were on vacation this week and decided to take the tour. The dvds were very informative. We did not see any Moose. The brochure said there was a 96 percent chance of seeing a Moose. This is a tour not a zoo. The Moose are wild animals. With that being said there is no way the tour... More

Tours that week were Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday and moose seen by all on all nights except Tuesday, the night of this reviewer's tour. I'm pleased to say Moose seen on over 80 tours in 2106. Darn good. Thank you for the kind words. I feel I didn't do my job when moose not seen. More

Went the third weekend of September on this North Conway moose tour. The videos shown are good and help with the travel time. We got to see moose too with the bus stopped and the moose out in a field. It stuck around but just too far so not able to take photos. It took off but later was back.... More

I'm sure I'll get a response from moose man claiming this review isn't true, but I feel that I need to give an honest opinion for others. First of all, we did see two moose. So I'll give the guy some credit for that. We saw a large bull and smaller female during our trip and were able to get... More

First, I'm pleased all saw Moose ! Yes, we all got an awesome viewing of a magnificent Bull Moose. He was huge ! We're now over 80 nights in 2016 where Moose seen. And all, likely even this reviewer too, enjoyed nearly 2 hours of Moose/ Black Bear DVD entertainment on the 32" TV... No mention of the DVDs or... More

We were on the trip that saw a bull moose and another moose. It was very exciting and I was grateful to have finally seen one/two. These are wild animals so there is no guarantee that you will see one, but you have a much better chance going on a tour where they know where the salt licks are located... More

Thank you for this rating and post. Yes, saw a huge Bull Moose on this Saturday night tour ! Got to ride along as he was only feet away from the side of the bus trotting along. Our September 2016 has started well ! Moose seen and photos taken on all tours in September to date. Fall schedule is Saturdays,... More

The bus was cold either bring a sweatshirt or something to keep you warm. Let me just say we did enjoy the tour and the guide did try his hardest to see Moose in which we did in fact (2) a bull and a female... seeing the Bull Moose was Awesome!! But i think the guide was kinda of rude... More

I suggest to everyone to wear long sleeve shirts or bring a light jacket. Much of the night the driver's window is down or the double stairway doors are open. All tour companies operate like this. The funny thing is the heater switch is next to the switches for the cabin lights and the few times I've accidently turned on... More

We knew we may not see a moose and we did not. We drove up and down the road several times looking for a moose with no success. Tour was 4 hours. Dress warmly and BRING A BLANKET! Very cold and breezy in bus. Watched lots of movies. Wish the driver had a bit more creativity to make the tour... More

MooseSafariMan, Owner at MWV Moose Bus Tours, responded to this review I'm sorry no moose where seen on this tour. As of writing this response we've enjoyed 71 tours in 2016 seeing Moose. 71 ! Part of the issue is loss of Moose due to automobile collisions which average 5 Moose/week getting hit by vehicles starting in May, thru October.... More

We have traveled multiple times up too New Hampshire in hopes to see a moose. We have gone at lest 4-5 times with no luck. This time we booked a tour with MWV Moose Bus Tours and we were able to spot our first moose! The driver was great! He was helpful, fun and very informative! We went in with... More

What a great time my husband & I had with Moose Bus Tours. We left out about 8 pm and set out to find moose. While riding to the location to find the moose we watched a video about moose, sang songs with the sing along videos with the families on the bus, and saw moose. It was great fun.... More

1.) The only reason I gave it 1 star was because we did see 2 moose... However, we only saw those 2 moose for 2-3 seconds before they ran away. 2.) Falsely advertised because they advertise a "Moose SAFARI tour" but all we did was ride in a bus UP AND DOWN the highway for 4 hours, and the closest... More
