Bakersfield Mist a must
Sep. 2020
We went to see “Matt & Ben” but, due to a situation, “Bakersfield Mist” was what we saw and that turned out fine. It was about value we place, ethics, honor. June Desmond and Kim Lajoie did a terrific job.

Little Shop of Horrors
Aug. 2019
I’ve seen this play several times ,done by other groups, and have to say this won my favorite spot!
The scenery was incredible and the Venus Fly Trap alien plant was AMAZING! What imagination this play demonstrated. My hats off to the set designers, and Director for their creativity and skill. The kind of “ off key “ singing by some of the actors led to the humor and excitement of the show. The Dentist should get an Academy Award for his hilarious performance!
All In all, it was a great night out for me and my friends and would recommend this production to anyone who wants and appreciates wonderful entertainment!
Look forward to more shows!

Why did I pay $25 a ticket to watch a rehearsal?
Aug. 2019 • Family
While on vacation, I wanted to take my son to a musical he had not seen. I read that this company had good reviews, so we attended Little Shop of Horrors. This is a popular musical by Alan Mencken with familiar great tunes. Please sing the notes he wrote! We had to leave at intermission because the lack of intonation amongst several of the singers, especially during ensembles and faster tempos, was excruciating. The singers were frequently sharper or flatter than the instrumentalists. My son is a violinist who hadn’t seen this musical, and yet he noticed the discord. A couple of the leads were excellent, but for $25 the whole cast should learn their notes! If the lack of intonation was due to vocalist illness, it would have been nice to hear an understudy. I’m sorry I didn’t see one of the performances that earned good reviews.

We are sorry you did not have an enjoyable experience at this show which has gotten excellent reviews. As for the ticket price, I think you will find it in line with most community theatre productions. Did you mention to anyone at the theatre your reason for leaving? If you had, perhaps we could have arranged for a refund since you were so displeased, or arranged for you to attend another production.

A beautiful playhouse.
May 2019 • Friends
We went to see The Shadow, The cast put on a fantastic performance,. The playhouse has only 76 seats so get your tickets early. Such a beautiful little playhouse. At intermission they have a variety of homemade snacks, candy bars, nuts, soda, coffee, tea, wine. All proceeds go to support the playhouse. We will go again.

A Must Visit
Dec. 2018 • Couples
As residents of NH (although, seacoast) and very frequent visitors to the White Mountains, I felt we have seen about all there is to see in the North Conway region - well, we were wrong. We stopped in on a whim to see The 8 Reindeer Monologues. First of all, the playhouse is fantastic for such a little place. Drinks, snacks, comfortable and casual. But most importantly - the customer service is beyond believable. My wife and I were running a little behind (my back was bothering me) and as we were walking in the door (5 minutes before showtime) our cellphone was ringing ... from the woman we were looking at in the ticket counter! She was calling to be sure we didn't get lost and would make it on time! I honestly couldn't believe it. What thoughtfulness. As far as the show itself? The acting was far better than what I expected. We felt sincere emotion following the dialog of the play. All in all we have bookmarked the playhouse and will be checking in to see what's playing every time we are in town. We will be return visitors.

A very good troupe.

We had a large group and took all the tickets for a performance of Shakespeare’s 12 Night. I enjoyed the production as it was well acted but it would have been nice to have a moderator to assist with the story. - since I did know the play.

It was well done and everyone enjoyed the performance.

The Last Romance
Oct. 2017 • Couples
When we vacation we are known for taking in movies, plays and miniature golf depending on the weather. We saw this play advertised so we got tickets. The Last Romance was really good! It didn't end the way i wanted but it was really good! If we were in the area longer we would go to the next play as well. it's a very small and only holds 90 people or so.
The theater is not the easiest to find so be prepared to look for it. They had drinks and treats to be purchased if wanted. It's a black box theater, a new term to me. It means it's an intimate type theater, not the huge theaters most are.
Go to this theater! It's quite unique and well worth the time and money.

Credible Community Theatre
Oct. 2017 • Friends
After a delicious dinner at A Taste of Thai, walk a few steps in this little strip mall and settle in for an enjoyable evening of live theatre.

We saw a well produced romantic comedy with an effective cast of four and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The theatre seating is comfortable and staff are very friendly and helpful.
The facility is quite remarkable. The company has lots of space for patrons to relax before the show and at intermission. A lounge with overstuffed chairs and a terrific wall of M&D production posters is the perfect place for coffee, wine or a rich, chewy brownie.

North Conway is fortunate to have the space and talent to offer a truly enjoyable live theatre experience.

Outstanding show and venue
Jul. 2017 • Couples
My wife found this on a search, it was a mere 1/2 mile from our hotel. Great little lobby with big chairs, food and drinks and a nice size theater with excellent views by the set up. The show we saw was put on by 4 actors and a pianist and was outstanding! Sop much fun and laughter ( the show was a comedy) and it was opening night. The people and staff must have worked so hard as the show was very active. the facility is so very well maintained. We see a fair amount of local theater type performances and this was excellent. Only 1 minor comment, it looks like the wardrobe could use some ironing as there are numerous costume changes.
