We really enjoyed camping on Horse Island, walking around to rent kayaks, then paddling to all the little islands. There are geocaches to find! Well-stocked restrooms; really well-separated campsites.

The water and beach are clean and easy to walk around barefoot. Staff is very friendly. Rental equipment place offers great gear at a good rate. Think it was $20/hour. Park entrance fee seems to be going to good use.

I really enjoyed climbing South mountain. The trail was nice. It was easy/moderate and fun. There were great views. The trail was easy to see. Well worth the $5 parking fee.

Great beach with pine tree grove that has picnic tables and grills. New playground equipment, store that sells floats and even blows them up for you.
