We decided we were going to hike Magalloway Mountain after hiking Garfield Falls. We decided to take the Coot trail up. This trail will make you winded if you are out of shape. It is very rocky and somewhat steep. It gains 800 feet of elevation in 8/10 of a mile. It can take from 40 minutes to an hour... More

Beautiful setting, delicious food and all reasonably priced. Such a find! So relaxing: love going up there to get away from all the craziness of today's world. A truly superb escape.

First time to the North Country. We stayed at the Cabins at Lopstick and had 2 great days of fishing with their guides, Bill and Greg. I've already made reservations again for next year! Peak color weekend was incredible!

I absolutely love the Connecticut Lakes Region more specifically Pittsburg, NH. I bring my kayak, hiking gear, camera and a smile. Whether I'm able to stay for 3 or 10 days I am continually on the go. I can get up early and kayak or head into the woods where I almost always see deer and moose up close. There... More

It may be a long drive up to the Connecticut Lakes Region, but is time well spent. Leave the office, work, or what ever behind you, enjoy the sounds of the Loons, listen to the chatter of the Red Squirrel telling you this is his home. Driver carefully at dawn and dusk as hitting a Moose will surly put a... More

Entire area is gorgeous, quiet, uncrowded. If you are looking for action this is not the place to find it but if you are looking for quiet, excellent food, and every outdoor activity imaginable, this is for you.

This region brings you back to what it must have been like in the country so many years ago. Pristine lakes, abundant wildlife, awesome hiking trails, and beautiful scenery. Would love to see what it's like in the winter. Can't wait to return!
