Beautiful Lake

Large lake front access provided access to many snowmobile trails plus a large area for the less experienced rides to have just as much fun.

Spent 2 nights in Pittsburg. Explored the back roads. Ate out and enjoyed the Lakes in the area. Only saw one Moose during our visit. We did see Deer and a Red Fox and Loons on the lake. If you like the Outdoors this is the place for you. Lots of ATV and Snowmobile Trails in the area too! Locals... More

We took a day trip from our hotel in Gorham up Rte 3 to Pittsburg NH and beyond, to the Canadian border. Beautiful scenes all along the way, from forests, marshes, lakes, ponds, etc, as well as the Connecticut River itself. Small towns dot the route; traffic was light and the whole trip very relaxing after the bussle of Conway... More

This area is well worth the extra miles up to toward the Candian border! Lots of great cabin rentals, restaurants and beautiful lakes & mountains!

The great north woods is a great place to relax or play, great ATV trails, fishing and plenty of lakes to swim and boat in. Moose watching in the evenings is a must, sometimes you see them, sometimes their elusive, but always a fun time. It's a great way to disconnect from the rush of everyday life and get back... More

We came to this area for the same reason many others do, to try and find moose in Moose Alley. We visited during the slow season for moose sightings because of the heat, but wanted to give it a try anyway. We did all the google searches for tips, asked all the locals how to find them and drove Moose... More

This is a wonderful place to get away from it all - phones, Internet, stress, etc. Oh, phones and TVs are in the cabins and internet are available in some rental cabins and at restaurants, so if you must check on the Red Sox' scores, you can. But you can ignore the outside world as well We rented a cabin... More

We had lots of options to go kayaking along Rt.#3 in Pittsburg, NH. One place we went to was Scott Bog. This is a quiet relaxing place to kayak. We even had a picnic lunch looking out over the Bog and mountains.

NO MOOSE TO BE FOUND ANY MORE! The place we stayed, when making reservations said that there were moose to be seen. No there were NO moose at all. Went in the 90ies and moose all over the road. There are many factors why there are no moose to be seen. 1.) Because of the road to be known to... More
