There is so much to see and do in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on the road from Boston to Newport to Bar Harbor, that it is recommended to buy a map and take a self-guided tour of the historic town that dates to 1623. There are...More

I went up to spend a gorgeous spring day and it was a huge disappointment. The websites make it sound as if the walk is something easily done and a nice way to spend time. Abbreviated trails and hard to find areas, I wasn't impressed....More

Lots to see while walking about on a nice day. So much nicer than just driving around. Portsmouth is not very big so this is not a strenuous activity - just enjoyable.

Pretty part of Portsmouth, easy walking tour, even for families. Nice scenery. Walking across the memorial bridge is pretty cool. Bring your camera. Lots of great old fishing town architecture to capture along the trail along with the history.

This boat trip was very well narrated and took in so many sites. The homes along the banks are beautiful. You will see several forts and lighthouses, unique bridges and even a prison. The only downfall is there is no parking there at the boat...More

We took this tour that starts at the Kiosk in Market Square yesterday. It was great, the guide was knowledgeable and had lots of tidbits of information that she really enjoyed sharing with the others on the tour.
