If you like beauty, and history, this is for you. You must go by boat, you can stay at the hotel but, you must stay 3 days before you may shower!

It has been a number of years since I last visited the Isles of Shoals. I thought it would be an excellent introduction for my grandson to learn more about the area and so we decided to purchase tickets in advance to celebrate his 7th...More

I loved the trip out there and the tidbits of information that were given along the way. The boat is in nice shape with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy shade or sun. Star Island, however...I hated that place. It would have been interesting...More

This island has the history of great fishing pirates murder and great artists. Try the pump organ at the church and the ice cream parlor.

This iconic island stay was fabulous. Accommodations are not modern or deluxe, but the atmosphere is timeless and the island is magical. Don't miss your chance if you ever are invited to an event there, or even to walk around on a day tour.

I know you can not dock on Appledore island, but I think you might be able to on Star Island, where the hotel is.
