15 min. movie (only one factual error), suitable to children and adults. Lobby with high=end, as opposed to t-shirts and usual junk). Separate display of antique chests & cabinets.

Across from Portsmouth's "Health Food Store," the Discover Portsmouth Center offers walking tours, African-American center, art exhibits of local artists, and a big gift shop. Very helpful staff. We went for the Ginger Bread House exhibit and it was wonderful... a treat for the "bah-humbug" in all of us. The local hanging art exhibit was just as good. It's just a cool place to visit.

We were fortunate enough to visit during the annual gingerbread competition and were delighted to see the imaginative and detailed entries. We also enjoyed discussing the "What Artists Look Like" exhibit with several of the staff members.
