There are many great places to get a view of and from Portsmouth. What you won’t find is a free place to park and get some nice views. You can do both from the park on Pierce.

It's a nice walk across a walkway bridge from Prescott park. There are nice water views and another smaller island to walk.

Bottom Line: Nice views of the waterfront. Details: We stopped here on our walking tour of Portsmouth. Just a short walk from Market Square and offers nice views of the bridges and waterfront areas.

Due to some construction, much of Peirce Island is closed. It is super dog-unfriendly. Even a well behaved dog on a leash is not allowed there "because it is dangerous because of construction vehicles." What? A dog on a leash lying at its owners' feet,...More

A wonderful get away spot in Portsmouth just south of Strawberry Banke which is quiet and restful. It offers great views of the city from the south, is surrounded by lobster boats and quiet still waters, and has a great view of the oldest shipyard...More

We love taking fishing trips here in the summer! We pack up the cooler and make a whole day of it! Bring a camera because you will want to take pictures!
