One of my favorite beaches along the NH Coast. Busy in the summer so arrive early to get a parking spot, but there's easier street parking near Jenness than some of the other beaches along the coast. (Pictures are taken a little further south of Jenness itself, in an amazing little rocky cove.)

It was good. I surfed, my woman friend learned how to surf. We had a great time. Parking sucked. We went back again later.

Went here two days in a row! Great beach, but nicer crowd! No blaring radios or cigarette smoking/trash throwing people. Everyone is just chilling and enjoying the beach. Public bathrooms available and we paid $15.00 to park across the way. Bring your own food and drinks though-not too many options for buying near the beach.

My favorite beach spot for catching rays & enjoying the beach. The parking lot is usually full but there is available parking across the street behind the surf shop. You can find your spot & not feel crowded. Definitely the best NH State beach in my opinion.

Not like hampton's excitement and activity, just a place to get away to. But like any beach the water comes in at high tide and goes out at low tide. Best to come Early.

My wife and I went to Jenness State Beach today for the first time. Well, it was her first time... my first time since the mid-to-late-1980s when I was employed by the Town of Rye. Back then I would not have appreciated it... I would have wanted to go to Hampton Beach to be near other young adults, food establishments,... More

Not only does it feel a little in between Hampton and York, ME, but it is a great alternative as well. A great alternative to the crowds and the water is a joy for taking a dip and a full on swim. Had a great time.

Came here by recommendation from a friend. Since I've been little I've always gone to Hampton Beach etc, the place to go, well about 20 mins north is a better beach, yes, no honky tonk shops/restuarants but more a vacation rental/locals beach with the most beautiful homes in Rye, NH. The beach is about a mile or longer. There is... More

Our first time at Jenness State Beach was well worth the time. We spent a Tuesday evening and a late Wednesday night here. Both visits were pleasurable. Not as crowded as Hampton Beach. The parking was easier than other places around. $2 for an hour is a reasonable rate. Will definitely be coming back.
